A Fascinating Water World at the Shedd AquariumThere's plenty of water-centric thrills for the whole family at Chicago's Shedd Aquarium. Animals Of The AquariumVisitors will encounter 32,500 animals representing 1,500 species of animals, from majestic dolphins and tropical fish to playful otters and penguins. You'll come face to face with thriving reef habitants teeming with rays, sea jellies, turtles and sharks. Don't miss popular animals like the beluga whales, zebra sharks, lion fish and freshwater rays.
Shedd Aquarium ExperiencesFrom guided tours to beluga whale encounters, discover an array of interactive experiences that let you explore and play. Be a trainer for a day and learn what it takes to become an aquarium keeper. Spot cute waddling penguins on a 30-minute meet-and-greet. The Behind-the-Scenes Tour takes you on an educational journey to the animal healthcare center.

Here, dolphins soar high, friendly beluga whales dance, and sea lions swim effortlessly through the cool waters. At the Oceanarium, animal lovers can catch all the action above the water, or catch watch whales, dolphins and lion swimming below.
Q2: What are popular activities for younger kids?A2: : At the Polar Play Zone, kids can slide, splash and imagine. Get hands-on at the touch pools and get up close to sea stars, or slip on a penguin suit and pretend you're an Arctic bird in the Icy South Play Area. Young explorers can imagine they're on a thrilling expedition in the kid-sized submarine, and, of course, learn all about polar opposites.
